Introduction
InHealth is the UK’s largest diagnostics solutions provider, working on behalf of the NHS. The Salford Community Diagnostics Centre provides early diagnosis for conditions like cancer, heart and lung disease. It supports 20,000 patients a year.
Solution
In 2024, xWatts deployed IoT energy monitoring solutions to understand how the site was being used in relation to its usage and comfort.xWatts swiftly identified potential energy savings of 43% on the HVAC and Hot Water heating (21.5% of total site energy), through the deployment of a ‘virtual BMS’, which represents £15,000, 70,000 kWh or 15,500 kgCO2 p.a. 81% of the savings come from optimising the site during peak hours, 19% from off-peak hours.
