Introduction
Greeneco Enerji is one of Europe’s largest geothermal energy producers with 106 MW installed, and growing. The solar and geothermal power plant in Denizli, Turkey, sought to improve energy yield by accurately forecasting energy generation and optimising the flow of geothermal resources.
Solution
In 2025, xWatts deployed to the site, ingesting data form the onsite energy systems and building a custom prediction model. xWatts used advanced ML algorithms and mathematical tools to forecast the Net Power Factor of individual generators considering a variety of internal & external factors.
xWatts prediction models were 40 ppts more accurate than Greeneco’s existing forecasts (94-98% accuracy), resulting in an annualised energy generation improvement of 5.62% MWh, or $3.62mn in additional profit, displacing almost 1,000 tCO2 on the grid.

*Each 1 MWh Geothermal Energy saves 500g CO2 if the plant has zero emissions; the projected average lifetime emissions of a Turkish geothermal plant are 113g/kWh. Therefore each 1 MWh displaces 387kg CO2. Greeneco is producing annualised energy gains of 2,547 MWh.
