Balderton Capital is a UK-based Venture Capital firm. Their 12,787 sqft London office is located near King’s Cross, over 4-floors. The building has no BMS, 32 HVAC systems and 4 heat recovery systems that are controlled manually with no remote access and no consideration for daily fluctuations in occupancy, environment or comfort.
In 2023, Balderton contracted xWatts to reduce their energy costs and carbon emissions, whilst improving comfort for staff.
Solution
xWatts swiftly created energy savings of 22.5% on the HVAC and Hot Water (63% of total site energy), through the deployment of a ‘virtual BMS’. xWatts connected remotely to the control panel, refining the system controls through real-time data integration and two-way automation and optimisation, enhancing comfort simultaneously.
